AUTUMN COLOURS

Oh graceful, sensational autumn… October is high time to admire vigorous colours of the season in many exciting locations in northern hemisphere, and here are best destinations to travel for fall foliage and more:

Outstanding German nature provides a flawless backdrop to an autumn palette. Fairy-tale Black forest with its picture perfect Feldberg and Belchen summits, Famous Spreewald with its labyrinths of canals and chocolate rustic houses,  breathtaking views of legendary Watzmann mountain sheltering pretty Alpine villages, fascinating Neuschwanstein sinking in reds and yellows – now try to choose your best autumn postcard!

Or visit them all and then head to Munich’s Oktoberfest for a well-deserved sip of fragrant, sweet and hoppy Augustiner Helles (insert your favourite Bavarian beer here) and a hot, luscious, juicy Wurstl…

Canada is one of the ultimate world destinations for nature lovers and autumn colours here won’t disappoint. With almost 50 stunning natural parks the only little problem is to decide where to go! On a hunt for the famous scarlet maple leaf, hike to scenic Woody Point in Gros Morne National Park, Newfoundland. Explore rolling hills, quaint villages and broad bay seascapes of the Confederation trail in Elk Island National Park. Or, ride along one of the most beautiful drives on the planet – Cabot Trail in Nova Scotia – for breathtaking highland panoramas of Cape Breton Island litten up in hues of red, orange and olive.

If you have chosen Whiteshell Provincial Park in Manitoba as a destination for your Canadian autumn adventure, you can also make an extra stretch to Churchill and check watching polar bears in their natural habitats off your bucket list. October is one of the best months to observe those beauties in the area

When speaking of beauty of the nature, it is impossible to skip USA – the States are blessed indeed with some planet Earth’s most extraordinary sceneries. To gaze at the colourful blanket reflecting in the still water mirrors head to Grand Teton National park – a less-crowded neighbour of Yellowstone. In addition to its towering evergreens, snow-capped mountains and beautiful lakes, the park boasts aspen, willow and cottonwood trees that turn lovely shades of yellow and red in autumn

Shenandoah National Park in Virginia, Great Smoky Mountains in North Carolina and Blue Ringe Parkway – America’s favorite scenic drive that connects the two – offer diverse, unparalleled views of magnetic autumn landscapes. Unforgettable journey with perfect timing!

Another great thing to do in the US in October is to visit a couple of Halloween-ready neighborhoods. Americans get very creative preparing for October 31st and they do truly enjoy the process. One of the coolest things we’ve seen was charming Historic Oakland in Raleigh, North Carolina. While one of the cutest – Pinellas Park Treat Trail next to Tampa, Florida, where the fanciest dressed kids in the world – little ghosts, princesses, astronauts, ghouls – gather for traditional trick or treating.

That’s us. But we are sure one can always discover something better – just keep on exploring and let us know what was your favourite Halloween neighbourhood this year!
